UNICEF AND ISLAMIC RELIEF AUSTRALIA
Islamic Relief Australia (IRAUS) and UNICEF Australia have joined forces to realise a world without suffering and hardship, and to advance the health, education, livelihoods, WASH and nutrition of the most vulnerable children and families. IRAUS and UNICEF are both global players in the development sector, with significant presence in some of the hardest to reach places on earth, from conflict zones to remote Indigenous communities. IRAUS is working with UNICEF to protect children during emergency responses and re-imagine a better future for the most disadvantaged.
It is this shared mission, and our mandates to reach the most at-risk and disadvantaged communities in the world, that affords us the opportunity to forge a partnership in Australia. This partnership is not only focused on program impact, but also encompasses the strengthening and development of our capacities within Australia, and placing ourselves front and center of a flourishing global relationship.
The partnership will see the two organisations develop and implement joint projects. There will be a specific focus on working within our neighbourhood of South East Asia and the Pacific. It is these joint initiatives that allow like-minded organizations to multiply the reach, impact and sustainability of our efforts.
