When catastrophe strikes, whether it be raging bushfires or devastating floods, Islamic Relief stands ready to distribute aid to those in need, provide essential urgent assistance and assist communities in rebuilding their lives.

Our work locally can be seen through our various efforts to assist the community in times of crisis.

We assisted communities and local emergency services during the catastrophic 2020 bushfires. Through working with local communities, governments, emergency services and other charities, we provided a range of support services to deliver a holistic assistance package.

During the Covid crisis, Islamic Relief Australia also stood on the frontline, focusing our attention on household food packages, cash vouchers and hygiene packs. Our work assisted many household breadwinners who had lost employment and were unable to access State financial support, as well as those who were suffering from disabilities.

Currently, Islamic Relief Australia is assisting flood affected households in NSW and Victoria. We are working diligently with community organisations on the ground to identify the immediate needs of these families as well as their requirements well into the future.
