Livelihood opportunities for refugees and vulnerable populations in Jordan

Helping the world's most vulnerable walk the path to independence.

The Islamic Society of Algester is partnering with Islamic Relief Australia to empower 495 vulnerable individuals through a life-changing, three-year economic resilience project in Jordan.

Together, we are tackling the unemployment crisis by providing the tools, training, and resources needed for families to earn a dignified living and break the cycle of poverty.

With national unemployment reaching 23%, many families are trapped in hardship. This initiative is designed to alleviate poverty for at least 1,650 family members, supporting both locals affected by the economic crisis as well as refugees from neighbouring countries.

Moving families from aid reliance to true financial independence.

Over the course of three years, we will work side-by-side with these families to ensure their businesses grow and succeed.

We are tailoring our support to the specific needs of three different regions:

Our goal is to ensure these families have a steady income, food security, and a brighter, self-reliant future. This project is about restoring dignity.

We are striving to build a foundation where parents can consistently provide for their children, where businesses remain profitable year after year, and where the cycle of poverty is finally broken.
