Gaza 1,000 Days On: What You Need to Know and How You Can Help
Today marks 1,000 days of the catastrophic escalation in Gaza. In less than 3 years, the enclave has been altered beyond recognition.
Gaza endured two years of massacre and misery. The death toll has climbed to over 73,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza since October 2023. A heartbreaking over 21,000 children and 10,000 women are among the casualties.
Over 173,000 people, at least, have been injured. Over 20,000 children are missing, lost, disappeared, detained or buried under rubble. All Gaza’s population have been forcibly displaced at least once. Even under the “ceasefire”, at least 1.9 million people are still displaced from their homes.
Gaza is also in ruins, with 81% of all infrastructure destroyed or damaged. The healthcare system in Gaza also faces critical challenges, with less than 5% of health services fully-functional. Overall, the situation remains a crisis in need of dire attention.
