The war in Gaza remains horrific and ongoing. Some Gazan families have been granted visas to come to Australia, to escape the horrors of the war. We need your support to show them that they are not alone.
The QLD Charity & Welfare Association (TAQWA) in partnership with Islamic Relief Australia, the Palestinian community and the wider Muslim communities in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, are working together. To financially help and support the Palestinian families who are coming from Gaza to Brisbane and QLD.
Our brothers and sisters from Gaza deserve to live with safety and dignity. Your donation helps them settle in Brisbane and cover daily life expenses, including paying rent, buying furniture, home appliances, clothing and everything they need to start a new life in a safe place.
TAQWA has established relationships and partnerships with a variety of service providers and Government agencies to assist with the delivery of some of these much-needed services.
This includes medical and dental care, psychological therapy, education, emotional wellbeing, spiritual wellbeing, cultural adaptation, language assistance and more. The assistance we provide is also catered to the specific needs of each family that arrives.
