United Muslims of Northern Territory Inc. is a community-based organisation established in 2019 to serve the diverse needs of the Muslim and broader community across Darwin and the Northern Territory.
From its Darwin CBD location, the hub provides a safe and welcoming space where families, students, migrants, and vulnerable individuals can find connection, support, and guidance.
UMNT delivers services that strengthen wellbeing, resilience, and social inclusion.
UMNT also facilitates regular community gatherings and services that foster connection, belonging, and wellbeing.
Darwin’s Muslim community continues to grow, including students, families, and new migrants. However, UMNT currently operates from rented premises with no long-term security, placing essential programs at risk and limiting service expansion.
To ensure continuity and strengthen community support, UMNT is working to secure a permanent community centre in Darwin CBD – a central hub for education, wellbeing, and community resilience.
For many families, this centre is more than a building — it is a place of safety, belonging, and hope. It is where a young person finds guidance, a new migrant finds community, and a struggling family finds support.
