Escalating violence in Syria

  News

The biggest wave of displacement since 2010

Escalating violence in Idlib, northwest Syria, over the past few weeks has forced over 700,000 civilians to flee their homes. On record, this is the biggest wave of displacement in the region since the Syrian crisis began nine years ago.

Fifteen medical facilities that are directly supported by Islamic Relief have now been damaged or completely destroyed over the past two months. At least 55 places where our partners distribute food have experienced near misses during recent bombing attacks. In the last four weeks, our partners on the ground have recorded 428 strikes near locations where they operate.
